Step Four | Workshop

For Groups, Sessions Three & Four

At this stage, you’ve developed a first draft of your PTOP and identified a set of core values that you want to reflect within it. Now you need to workshop it. If you are working through this solo, consider Techniques to get feedback or view your PTOP with fresh eyes.

If you’re working within a group, your Sessions Three and Four are opportunities to dedicate significant time to discussing drafts of the group members’ PTOPs. In our sessions, we dedicated 45 minutes to an hour to each PTOP. This is a time for vulnerability: whether you share the draft ahead of time or in the session itself, your companions should be able to engage with the draft itself. Everyone should take time to review or refresh their memories of the PTOP at hand, then allow time for the person workshopping their PTOP to frame their draft: what feedback would be helpful at that moment? Group members can then respond with ideas, further questions, suggestions, and resources to take into a next iteration.
